Joking? Who said I was joking? I mean, if he comes to Indiana, and some Nubian does end up with him, I'd sure be happy to take them off your hands. My nubian baby needs someone who doesn't look like they'll fly away to hang out with. Plus, the snubians are loud, and she's my quiet girl.

West Plains is 2-2 1/2 hours away from me...I think. Springfield would work as well because then it wouldn't be as far away for Tin Mom.

I am executor of Lonnie's estate, but I own the house and land. The house and outbuildings contain a lifetime of items that must be sorted, inventoried, and prepared for sale. The list of things to do is long enough that I'll be here ALL summer, just getting to the point of having his estate sale some time in the fall. Then, I'll migrate back to Texas for the winter.

I'll return here next spring to remodel the house.

My plan (which you know is a four letter word) is to continue the summer/winter migrations, fix up a goat barn and paddocks at my house, and ..... keep making lists and doing things. LOL My brain got overwhelmed while I was typing that last sentence. I have enough to do to keep me busy in the Ozarks till I'm very old.

Yarrow,

My niece just sent a FB message to me that she has two nigerian dwarf wethers. A little over 1 year old. Not registered but she has their paperwork. She needs to let them go. I do not know if they are tested or disbudded. I don't know anything about Nigerian Dwarfs, so I don't know if these would help you out. If you are interested, let me know and I can find out more info.

That sounds awesome! Dd18 and I love to drive, so we wouldn't mind going a little farther for a goatie gathering. Just would need to get the okay from Dh.

okay... she just emailed me...(I sent her a list of what everyone on here had available).. she thinks she has found a doeling friend for Poe (alpine/nubian mix, from who/where I don't know)... I haven't asked her how old/big she is...but at least Poe wouldn't be alone.

thanks for the help

I was thinking fall-ish for a get together here... My daughter (partner in crime) is due to *kid* on June 25th.. SO.. of course we decide to have a huge gathering (baby shower/cook out/karaoke evening to celebrate Zade joining our family)... wanted hubby's side of the family to get to come (they are from PA) but his sister is a teacher and couldn't come until the weekend of June 16/17.. (Jess will ONLY be 39!!!!! wks at that point... nothing like taking it down to the wire LOL)..

So, his family is coming in... our family is coming in from OK & TX.. Jess' hubby's are coming from TN.. we are inviting everyone that lives around us here in the Ozarks... (we rented out the Alton motel for the weekend... just to have enough space to sleep family & out of town friends for the weekend).. We've been here eight years.. friends have come to visit, but never family (we've always just gone there.. out of habit more then anything)... We left behind a beautiful arts & crafts bungalow in a historical preservation neighborhood. (sidewalks, white picket fence, quaint street lamps, ect)... for an oak *shack* in the Ozarks..*just so I could raise nubians* & let loose my inner-hillbilly ... it will be fun watching their reactions when they arrive .. esp my mother-in-law LOL (Howard -one of the mini donks- loves to kiss people.. wonder if she'll pucker up??? hehehe)

NOW.. it's just a crazy rush to get the patio/party building built, wired, painted ... BEFORE they all arrive (there is a good chance that baby Zade will already have arrived and be joining us for the party LOL).... SO, all that said.. I know we'll need a couple months to get into baby-in-the-house mode.. It's been 26years!!! since Jess (who is my youngest) was born.... I need time to get the pizza oven made (found wonderful plans on line... of course I'm bad at following directions and will end up building my own wonky version LOL)... BUT late sept-ish (before the bucks are really rutting LOL)... I think is the most beautiful time in the Ozarks (we live on top of a hill with a great westward view)...

Springfield has an airport but I wouldn't consider it *major*...STL would probably be closest for her wouldn't it? KC would be up north farther...

Hm. I was just talkin' about an HT gathering here this summer, can't decide if I should just wait for Yarrow's or just go ahead with the Summer one here and the Fall one at Susie's....

Susie, just left you a voice mail. Didn't realize your gal had found a kid. Gonna have to pay better attention...
