LOVE this thread! I knew I had seen a pic of goats on a car somewhere. Funny thing is, when I made my post in the other thread, I hadn't seen this thread yet.

Yes please do post those pictures...you know how much I love pictures !!
My blood pressure is fine. I'm used to being made fun of because of the way I treat my critters We are in total farmland/livestock country and my ways are a lot different than those that were born and raised here.
My purpose is to bring comfort, love, acceptance, health and happiness to my critters and those animals who cross my path. That is why I work at a vet clinic ...there is a reason for everything. I have VERY good friends who don't think the same way about animals and that is ok. I totally understand the livestock way of thinking and do not look down upon those who raise animals to eat or breed or whatever as long as it is done with respect for the animal and without cruelty. My true friends don't look down on me about how I choose to live either. They may roll their eyes but I can live with that Even though I pamper and spoil...my animals know who is boss around here and that is Me. Yes they get away with a lot but when it comes right down to it they know when I mean business and no one wants to make mama upset or mad.
Thanks to all of you for your support. It means so much to me!!

And I think Patrick you are proving that you are a troll.

A newbie who joins a forum just to criticize it and bring it down might be called socially retarded.

Bring on the emotional retardation! This place isn't just informational, but FUN. And plenty here have FUN with their goats.

Minelson, I absolutely LOVE all these pictures! I have got to get me some ducks. Only problem is...........I have three outside kitties. Will they bother the ducks or maybe kill them?? I sure wouldn't want that.
We should each post some pictures of our "family members." That would be most fun to look at

Y'know, I wonder if Minelson's place is like rehab for the karmically set back.

"Alright, you were naughty... but we see potential in you. I'm sorry, but you're going to have to go back as a chicken (you remember those ducks when you were eight, yes? They were on the committee and- well, of course you see)- wait, don't panic, you're going back as Minelson's chicken. That cat you had at forty put in a good word for you."

Minelson, Shep's memorial is wonderful. What a lucky old boy he was. Boris, now... about that hat.... well. Ahem. Doesn't he just look so "pleased". lol

Minelson, I love every one of your pics! When I die can I come back as one of your animals?

I'll have to see if I can find a pic of my old pygmies, may they rest in peace (all three buried in my backyard). They had blankets very similar to your girl's. Because they were getting old and they looked cold... I have to say, when I took one in for his fitting at Dover saddlery, the girls there LOVED that they got to play dress up with a goat, lol.

We have 8 ducks & 4 turkey's. As long as the ducks are at least half grown or better the cats won't bother them. Ducks grow faster than chcikens so just make sure they are pretty big before you turn them loose in a pen. They won't be able to go outside for weeks & weeks after you get them anyways, even if it is warm.
I don't turn ducklings when I hatch them out with my adult ducks until they are probly 12 weeks old or about. Just depends on the ducks.

Remember if you feed them, then they start hanging around all the time wanting more food. Next you know you are either having to to take it in and have it neutered or have a whole bunch of little trollies running all over the place. We've all had enough stray things show up our places to know better than to feed the ones we don't want to keep.
