I am so very sorry, Susie. It's never easy to lose them. At least she died peacefully. *lots of hugs*

That's so sad. It hurts when they leave us, but at least it seems she didn't suffer. I missed having a cocktail at 11:00 with you, but I'll hoist my glass this evening for you both.

What a beautiful, beautiful goat. My heart hurts for you. Sometimes a really extra-special animal enters your life. Jenna was obviously such a girl. I am so, so sorry for your loss.

Oh, I am so sorry, it hurts so bad when we loose any animal, but our favorite, well it is truly heartbreaking. Hugs from Oregon.

~hugs~ I am so sorry Susie! Jenna was such a beautiful, sweet girl!

When we were looking at your site last year, Jenna was both DH's and my favorite. She was so lovely!

My heartfelt condolences.

Thank you all so much for the kind, kind words... a bit of the shock is wearing off.. it's mostly just an overwhelming sadness now... Jenna will live on in the herd.. I have her daughter Ruthie.. her grand daughter Gloomy (who is due to kid in March).. her grand daughter Rowan and her great grandson Walker (actually the lamancha nubian crosses born yesterday are Jenna's great-great grandkids)... We will survive this and we will go forth with our goatie adventure.. but we'll never forget our sweet old gal.. Not sure who will step forward to take her place as herd queen.. but they'll have big hooves to fill...

susie (who has forced herself to hold off on that *cocktail* or two or three LOL.. until this evening.. need to be sober enough to deliver kids if one the other does decide to kid today)...
again, thank you all.. it really helps talking to others who can understand

So sorry for your loss, Susie.

She was a beautiful doe - at least it doesn't look like she suffered.

(((hugs))))

Your story has me in tears right now, I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. She looks so incredibly regal in that picture. No wonder you loved her so much. Again, I am so sorry.

So sorry for your loss, we are going through the same thing here. My 7 yr old daughter's favorite doe was found dead Wednesday morning, and we had just lost her triplets less than 48 hours before. Just so frustrating!
