Now I'll have to read up on Cystic & the uterine infection, but I'm hoping it's just the too many groceries part too.

Backfourty,

we are having a very similar experience this breeding season and it's making me crazy, lol

We just had 4 does deliver, one of whom is a FF that was last mated in November and just had twins! She did not even look much pregnant, but started getting an udder and 2 days later delivered.

Our other 4 does have gone back into heat and been mated every month since August by our proven buck and was assuming it took as they haven't been in heat since Nov., but now they all look ready to have their babies size wise, but udders aren't enlarging.

None of our girls were overweight, so am having difficulty thinking they all would have a disorder of some kind,(fatty or cystic ovaries or infections) especially in consideration of our little FF just having twins..

I have a list of folks waiting on babies and now have no idea on due dates
This year takes the cake of being the weirdest breeding season evah, lol
hoping you have a good outcome!

Well she didn't want anything to do with the buck this a.m., kept running from him & she just wanted out of there so I'm hoping one of the 4 times I watched her hunch up & him throw his head back yesterday did the trick.

I did some google searches & reading today too on Cystic & pyometra or uterine infections & I don't believe it's either of those.
Pyometra says if open pyo you'll see puss coming from vulva, if closed pyo then she will be depressed, off feed, etc. She's definately not any of those.

If they are Cystic it said she should be coming into heat every 6-14 days. She's having regular heat cycles every 3 weeks or so.

I really think she has too much internal fat is the problem but I am going to keep a real close eye on her for any changes.

If she did happen to take yesterday & settles, when should I start giving her alfafa pellets again & also what about the other does who are all bred, a minimun 1 month but most of them 2 months, are they going to be alright with just their little bit of grain for awhile?

If she has too much internal fat make sure you know the exact date she is due and be there to help her out. My one fatty came to me bred one and she never got the kid into the birth canal well, she had some goo but never acted in labor, the vet said to watch and wait and she ended up needing a C-section. So there is no more watch and wait here!
The other chunky doe had no issues getting pregnant either or any giving birth. They came to me pregnant so I thought that was why they were so "fluffy" lol but after kidding they are still big girls and I have not ever been able to slim them down. No breeding for them, I so do not want another C-section bill. She had to have it on a Sunday just to make sure the extras on the bill almost caused me to have an attack.

This doe has always been like this too. She's never had any issues breeding or delivering before but I always write the dates I put them with the buck on my calendar.

I definately don't want a C section vet bill either or my hubby will have an attack!

So your fluffy girls are just pets thai?

Yes I am scared to sell them because I worry that people will lie and get the doe for less then breed her since they are purebred. I am not usually anti-buyer but of late they are causing me issues.
That is why I would love to send Itchy to Minelson ( yea you lol) who has virgin goats lol and keep Fatty Patty She is such sweet non-complaining goat. Itchy is attention needy as all get out and would love a home who pets, spoils, scratches the top of her head for an hour and talks to her as much as possible. Funny Patty is fatter then Itchy but she can jump a fence while Itch stays there and cries.

I am laughing, as I just came in from a very pregnant, very vocal Trub... "Oh, hoooomaaaaan! I need SCRITCHES! And fresh haaaaaaaaaaaaaay! And oh, I need oooooooooooooooooooooooats!"

And then the yearling buck comes up because he's not getting His Fair Share of Attention. Stinky buck stink all over my arms and hands...

Yeah. Working animals. Uh-huh.

I think you probably have it set to alert you when words like virgin and High Priestess Flossie are used

You are right she would be great for Minelson's crew since she cannot jump on cars and eat windshield wipers, she has no horns and can't strangle JW either
