Any of you brainstormers got ideas on how to get this heavy thing up on a gooseneck deckover (flatbed) trailer that's about 34" high? It's a dove tail with 2 really big heavy ramps, but wow, I can't imagine using a come-along like the guy suggested. Won't see DH till 7 to ask him. We don't own a winch, nor have one on this trailer.
Hmmm... we had someone give us a shed quite a few years ago and we hired someone to move it for us. They put it in the exact place we wanted and helped to level it and everything...I think we paid them $150.00. Maybe you could check around to see if there is anyone willing to do that in your area (or maybe in the area where the shed is).

Hmmm.... set a pallet under it (ratcheting tie straps hooked to a come along to tilt it a bit to set the pallets) and then strap it down to the pallet and hook the come along to that? Where there's a will.....

Hey, just found this one on CL. This we could haul waaaaay easier! And it's bigger and cheaper. We have siding at home we can put on it in summer.

DH talked to the guy and it looks like we're gonna go get it Saturday. We can just winch it straight across onto our car trailer. No trying to move a heavy beast up onto a 34"+ high deckover. I'm so excited!!

7x16, I'll have so much room!!

Now I gotta call the first guy and tell him to let the second person in line have it.

The shed is 3.5 hrs away, but as it fits on a normal trailer, no biggie I guess.

I'll post pics as I get some stuff done to it.

Fingers crossed we get it home okay!

Just thought I'd let ya know, the shed didn't make it to my farm.

THANKFULLY, DH decided to have the guy measure it before just figuring it would fit on either of the 2 car trailers we can use. Wouldn't you know, his trailer is brand new and a bit wider? 1.5" wider to be exact, thus the stupid shed is 1.5" too wide to fit on either trailer. Poo! Those are the only trailers we could use to bring it home, sigh (it was 3.5 hrs away).

So deciding if we should just work with what we got or keep watching.

What a bummer! I'd work with what you got but keep watching cause you never know you might find the perfect thing when not expecting it!
