I'm so sorry. I know how you feel and I had these same feelings after I had my beloved dog of 18 years pts. You will struggle with different thoughts and emotions over this..but eventually it will get better. You are in shock right now and everything is going to feel very intense. (((hugs))) keep coming here for support...we are all here for you.

You made the best decision for the cards you held at the moment. So sorry for your loss. They were beautiful. You will have a do over. Life is funny that way. Next time you will be extremely well prepared and will have a great time with your new goats.

The farm seems so quiet without them. No one is yelling to me when I step outside. I can barely look at their pen. It's empty. No happy loving faces waiting for me. I didn't know it would hurt so much to lose them. I raise cattle for goodness sakes. This just doesn't compare. I just keep wishing I could wish them back.

I have some copper bolus & CmPK (oral stuff) if anyone wants it, just pay the shipping and I'll send it off.

I am so sorry, I know how devastated you must be. You gave them a wonderful life with lots of love. Please try to hang in there. I would be very happy to give you a pair of my Nigerians if you could find your way here. I AM a clean and closed herd. I am about to have some oops babies, so you could have your pick. Just a thought. My prayers to you. Lynn

Thank you to everyone for the support. No one here (except my husband) understands my grief. No one understands how much these girls captured my heart. My daughter turned 18 and moved out this past Feb. I had wanted nigerians for years so after she left I got the girls to fill void of my missing daughter. I thought my dreams had come true this spring. My goats were my replacement kids. I didn't think I would have to feel the loss and emptiness that I felt when my daughter left after I got my girls. And now I feel like I lost family again.

I am afraid even if I wanted more goats, that I would never find a clean herd of Nigerians. (well, in ND.) I am just so scared of trying again. I couldn't go through the loss again. It hurts too much.

Lynn, you offer is amazingly generous! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for offering! I wish I could find a way there.

You hang on to the that stuff for a while. You may find that you changed your mind.

Right now your heart is hurting from being broken; you don't want new goats just yet, you want the ones you just lost.

You can't wish them back, but you never know when you may have some goatie yelling in your yard again. (And no, it will not be us, though I suppose we could phone you and do goat yells if it would help.) Never say never.

Great big hugs, a big ol' bottle of wine, a box of Calgon, and a packet of tissues to you, dear.

I'm sorry. Does sound like you could try again later with healthy stock though.

Well, good. At least your smile still works.

If things get really desperate, though, give us your phone number, and we'll take turns phoning you and making barnyard noises.

Is there someone, without livestock that would be willing for to foster them for awhile, until they are old enough to have another test?
