I have Nigies and hand milk. Its really not a big issue. Don't dispair just try it. You might be surprised!

Creamers, those really are nice teats for a ND. I wish I had more like that one. I have one with pencil teats. Literally. What a pain. But I have only milked Nigerians so they seem normal to me. But the others are right. It's finger milking, not hand milking.

I agree - I felt she had very nice size FF ND teats - I'm just spoiled with my Nubians - lol

One can get used to milking any sort of animal in the short run.

The question is what is the effect of doing it in the long run to your joints, ligaments and tendons.

I had a doe once that was tough to milk and I milked her anyway. I think I sustained some permanent damage related to milking her twice a day, some times for up to 3 years without re breeding for about 12 years. Looking back I should have culled her but at the time I had a market for her milk and she was milking 19 lbs at peak. Still in retrospect it was a stupid move on my part and I'm still paying for it to a degree.
