As some of you know, we had some JayDubs show up here - unannounced - the other day. Got all the dogs and the geese riled up and barking like crazy. I had been trying to take a nap b/c of my miserable headache, but instead had to haul my hiney out of bed, get decently covered, and go settle down the cacophony at my front door.

First thing they do is lie to me, saying that they'd been talking to my neighbors about why there are so many different religions.

No you haven't. I know when they're home, I know when they answer their doors, and I know for a fact that they were NOT talking to you about why there are so many different religions.

I did not tell them that their "bible" is an intentional mistranslation (and I have the docs to prove it), I did not call them liars to their faces.

Just asked, "Jehovah's Witness?" They said yes, I said, "Have a nice day."

LOL! When someone asks me if the dogs bite, I say, "When I tell them to."

Last time they came here it had been raining and I had been out hunting.
I was soaked, not happy, had a rifle in my hands and a pistol on my belt.
I'd also ripped my pants from the knee up thru the crotch.
I greeted them in the drive just like that and they left in a hurry.

Had some issues with some teenagers and had the police out to document it a few months ago. While the officers were here my oldest son was putting the goats out. This large, tough, muscled, bald officer looked quite alarmed and asked if the goats were mean. I told him no, any mean animals around here get eaten. He didn't look any more at ease over that either, for some reason!

And just a couple of days ago the chicken-killing Pomeranians from down the road were back in our yard. This time they didn't get close enough to any chickens to do any harm, because Little Bit and her buckling were out and about. Little Bit saw the dogs, the hair on her neck and back stood straight up and she CHARGED down the driveway at them. I'm sure if she could have caught them she'd have killed the little anklebiters. Who needs LGD's (ours was asleep under the porch and never realized the Poms were here) when you have attack goats?

Wow...
Anyone is welcome to come knock on our door. We'll invite you in, regardless of religion/politics, offer you a refreshment, and engage in a healthy discussion or debate. If you overstay your welcome, we just tell you it's time to slaughter some chickens and you can either come help and we can continue the conversation there, or you can leave, it's up to you. Really, either way, it's up to you. We can always use the free help.
