You have to give the penicillin time to work - one shot is not sufficient. That's why doctors tell you to finish ALL your antibiotics, not stop when you feel better.  You can worry about her rumen function later. I never give less than a 5-day course of antibiotics. Probiotics will do the most good once she's off the antibiotics, but it won't hurt to give them now.
Banamine won't hurt her either. I give 1/2 cc per 50 lbs, usually every other day unless it's something really serious, in which case they get it every day for 2-3 days.
