Hey, no problem! Naming animals must be a newly acquired skill of mine. A little competition was on a few months ago to name a fellow HTer's lamb and my name was chosen---Callie. Don't remember who the HTer was though...sorry.

I suspect once we see a photo of Butter she's not going to look too buttery though----but I'm sure she'll fatten up soon enough. Thank you for not passing her by!

That was very kind-hearted. What do you mean that her CAE and CL were "done"? She was tested and found negative? I hope so. That would be quite a blessing for a rescue!

Can you not turn this lady in for neglect or at least alert the authorities to take a look at her place? Are neglected animals visible from the road?

Yes she was tested in April with the rest of the herd and she and everyone else were negative. I saw the vet papers personally, I required it. They are not visible from the road you have to walk to the back of the house to see any of the animals. I am considering it. I have also talked to a friend and we are trying to get the goat rescue to take the rest if we get them and haul them. I paid for her, only $70 which I would pay for a nice weather anyways so no big deal to me. The breeder she came from is great.
