It is not goat related. Need ideas of names.

I know this forum is about goats. But I want to get more help to figure out a name for my human baby girl that is coming in couple months.

I have a such HARD time to figure out what should I name our baby!! I never had this problem before with the other 3 kids.

We like the old fashioned names and not so popular names and easy to say it and sound pretty and not too old names. Example like my daughter's first name is Bethany that is not popular and it is not that really old names. U know what I mean. I dont like strange names honestly! So help me figure out. I will have to figure out until the baby is born! LOL..

I really like my name. It's old-fashioned and pretty. I am named after my great-grandmother, who was a wonderful, spunky, very cool woman. Long-lived, too. Didn't die until she was 92. :)

Oh - she wasn't named Pony!

Her name was Ivy. So is mine. :)

I LOVE the name Ivy! Very pretty.

I'm awful at names....

For my daughter I wanted "Ayla" after my favorite book character as a child (The Earth Children Series). Hubby thought it was weird. He wanted "Sherrie" which I thought was too common.....combined them & got a name we both loved.

My daughter's name is Shayla Paige. :)

I also like the names "Chloe", "Lydia", "Evelyn", "Briana", & "Teagan"

Good luck choosing!

If I had ever had a daughter, I wanted to name her Melanie. You might want to name her for a beloved relative. I also recall you are Catholic and many Catholics like to give their daughters some version of the name Mary, such as Maria or Rosemary. I work with a woman named Mariola. Two of my neices had girls this year they named Elizabeth and Madelyn.

My daughter is Eleanor Catherine. :) We, too, love the older less common names. I'm named after both of my grandmothers--Roxie Frances. My paternal grandmother was Roxie Verlin and my maternal grandmother was Frances Leona. My mom and aunts are Mildred, Leona and Alma. I have an aunt Belle and and aunt Isler. Some favorites of mine are Charlotte, Colleen, Margaret, Hazel and Rosaline. I love girl naming. :D

I like the name Tessa or Isabelle for a girl. But there are so many nice names it will be a tough choice for you. You'll know the name when you hear it I bet.

My DD's name is Kara Nicole. It just rolled off the tongue. We were going crazy with girl's names, then one night Kara Nicole just popped into my head, and we were both crazy about it. Really easy to say when you are mad, lol.

Madison is pretty, too.

Emily
Olivia
Joy, Faith, or Hope

I've always loved my grandmother's name Geneva. Her full name was Geneva Meadows (love the way that flows!)

I knew a Genevive or Guinevere in college (forget which, shows how long ago I was in college). Spelling, sorry. The name looked different then how it was pronounced.

We had our daughter home from the hospital for a week without a name. I wanted Loraine he wanted seirra. The lady called to find out what we were gonna call her and her name was Catherine. When I looked it up Catherine means pure, so I named her Catherine Joy. I needed a little joy in my life :)

Those names sound so good. I have thought about naming my baby Charolette as Lottie. I remember her from long time ago when i was a kid. She was our cousins and she had something wrong with her but she was the sweetest woman! She was so tiny and we used to stop by and get cookies from her. She loved to see us. LOL. It been long time!!

I had aunt name Gladys. I liked it but my husband said I dont know. LOL. I thought about naming her Emily but Emily is seem hard for me to say it if I am mad or something. LOL.. So I am still working on it. I want to let you know that Her middle name will be named after my grandma who passed away recently and her middle name will be JoAnn. Just let u know. So I need first name to add that. LOL. Thanks. Keep it up!

KrisD 07/13/11 11:53 AM

Lily JoAnn??

Donna1982 07/13/11 12:01 PM

When I wanted kids I picked the name Emily but wanted to spell it EmmaLee. I love love love the name Delilah Rose and Olivia. Good luck I could not picture having to name a child. We fight over what to name our goats lol.

Melbertsch 07/13/11 12:39 PM

My name is Melanie and in our area, (South Ga) there aren't very many girls with my name. Mom named me for the character in Gone With the Wind, thought maybe I'd turn out really sweet like her, but I turned out more like Scarlett, which I also love! Other names I like are SaraKate (my granddaughters name) Charlotte, Annabelle,
Amelia, Abigale, Phoebe ...

TwosCompany 07/13/11 03:26 PM

Charlotte JoAnn and Annabelle JoAnn sound REALLY good together. SaraJo Ann is a variation and really pretty. I've always liked SaraJo, lol.

TroutRiver 07/13/11 04:56 PM

I don't have kids so this is not my area of expertise, but I've always liked the names Jolene, Elaine and Madison for girls.
