Guess it depends on what brand you are using. I bought Red Brand woven wire and the cheaper(but looked just as strong) woven wire that my feed store carried. Put them up on the same stretch of fence and they both lasted the same amount of time. That is, years and years. Cheaper is not neccesarily "cheap". Red Brand sells their name for more money in my opinion. Just be careful that what you buy is sturdy.
