I'm so excited to see this and the links posted by Alice were VERY helpful. I have friends who are going crazy because they cant keep their goats from getting stuck over and over in the fence. I've heard of banding but never saw how well it works. I cant wait to show this to them!

Im happy this post has helped you guys. Before I decided to band, I was hoping to find a thread similar to this one that showed what it looked like afterwards. I never seemed to have any luck.. So I thought I could show people like me who are interested in banding horns on their goats, what it looked like from my experience. I will post pics as soon as she looses her second horn.

Put bands on the mean herd queen yesterday. So, thanks for the inspiration.

She goes after the sheep and baby goats without any provocation. We'll see....she's going to the sale barn if it doesn't work. I have livestock that is more valuable than her and I don't want to see them gored.
