No kids. Ugh, I thought for sure she was going to give em up last night! She was so restless, and obviously feeling the pain. By middle of the night checks, though, she had settled in to just chewing her cud. Grrrr!
When I had Dexter cattle, black and not completely shed out yet, but extremely pregnant in the heat, they used to look forward to me dumping buckets of water on them to cool them off. LOL!

Day 154-
Mucous plug continues. Area around tail head is sunken in even more. More swelling in the vulva and surrounding area. Her tail seems "broken" today & ligs are gone. Tail hangs outward very stangely and off to the right. She looks "posty". I haven't felt the kids move in the last 24 hours any of the times that I tried. I hope it's just because they are ready to be born, and I didn't lose them by not inducing her! Perhaps she'll deliver today with the new moon?

Ha ha ha, when my horses were close to due, I always said, "if there's enough room in there for them to wiggle, then they're not ready to be born!". It only was ever when it got SO CROWDED that the foal couldn't even squirm that I knew we were VERY VERY close!

I was just looking at her belly and thinking...
hmmn, she may have multiples in there...
our doe's had single's the first time and hardly any belly down below, the second time, they carried them like your's appears in the pic and they all had triplets, including our FF.
I really have no idea as our doe who had twins last week looked bigger than her time with triplets.
but it's fun to guess away and while I spend time checking out your doe, I am not hovering over ours, lol

That's funny, Ellie Mae! I too spend time reading about other people's goats just to keep from staring at the back side of mine the WHOLE day - LOL! I do hope she has multiples, for lots of reasons. I can't wait to find out!

No kids. No ligs. No movement I can feel. No patience. I can't take it anymore. 8 nights of checking on her. I need sleep.

Oh, gee, as long as things are progressing (and they ARE!), you just have to wait....I don't envy you, but until you are out of your mind and seeing hallucinations, she won't have them, so get busy with the heart palpitations and double-vision, please, so we can see some baby pictures!!

I slept right through one of my alarms to get up & check her last night, and I cried this morning when I found out she ate part of a glove that I forgot. Does that count? She's having contractions again this evening, but she did that yesterday evening too. Her udder continues to grow though!

Day 156, actually, because she gave birth last night. It's possible that she didn't settle for a few days, or she short-cycled. I wasn't watching her closely 5 days after she was in heat because I didn't know about it back then.
