Thanks everyone for letting me toot my horn! None of my other friends would get too excited about me doing something like that I don't think but I knew all of you would understand!

That is perfect! Now you can let them out there with no worries. Mine would like it with the pallets on the ground the way you have it. You did a really nice job!!

Great job! That is very impressive!!!

Pallets are wonderful, aren't they? My husband is building our buck house(s) out of a design similar to what you have here. We have lots of metal from a barn that blew down on his bil's farm - so that is what he is putting on the sides for ours.

Don't get too excited Lynn, I'm really not that good at building things but this time it worked out. Probly because I don't think hubby thought I could do it so I had to make sure I could & it felt good.

Thanks again to all of your for your nice compliments! Most of my good friends are city people so they don't really get all the farm stuff.

Tin Mom, I'm thinking of making my turkey house out of pallets that have the wood slats pretty close together, but with a solid roof. That way they'll still get ventilation during the hot summer nights until I let them out in the morning again. They will be butchered long before it ever gets too cold & would actually need solid walls.
