Lamancha's are a great breed and they have very good tasting milk in my limited experience. Right up there with Nubian. Took me about two years to accept the ear thing.
They are heavier producers than nubians, on average.

The first goat I ever milked was "goat-sitting" for a friend. She milked 5 quarts at a milking. So sweet, milk was first I had ever tasted, and wonderful! I was sold. I am currently milking a Saneen, my adorable Allison, but anxiously awaiting (LaMancha)Sarah's turn on the milk stand.
I have no nubians, just a couple of crosses. They are the loudest of all of them. I do love the long ears, but the roman nose, not so much. Not milking either.
