She still looks big, just not as bad.....but then again she's being a chow hound! Scarfed down her grain, all of the alfalfa pellets, a good amount of the fresh coastal I put in the barn, a few mouthfuls of minerals and a lick or two of baking soda.... I moved her away from the others and locked them in the barn so while I was doing that I filled everything fresh and Sabrina literally acted like she was in a buffet moving from one item to the next until it was gone or she'd had enough....She actually had two MOUTHFULS of minerals..lol

Just went and checked on them...still not much milk but the babies are active, wobbling and hopping around and her teats look nursed so I'm going it's because they are keeping her drained.....

The hard udder spots worry me....one side has softened some, but not the other.

I did warm compresses 3 different times and massaged.....she seemed to enjoy it....Anytime I touch her udder she moves her legs back, squats a lil and starts licking me, lol All without being tied or on the stand...

Thank you! I'm quite pleased with them......and so happy they are GIRLS!

Before they were born, I PROMISED myself I was *NOT* keeping any of them....but now.... Well, I think I MUST keep one, lol

Hubby came home, took one look in the barn, looked at me and said "Let me guess, your keeping one huh?"

That man knows me too well.....even when she was pregnant and I kept saying I was selling all of them, hubby just said "Yea, sure...we'll see"

Being wonderful man he is, he even gave me the go ahead to get the standard alpine doe I've had my eye on, plus keep a baby....AND he said he'd expand my fencing for me to keep things from getting crowded

Think I'm keeping the red girl with the shorter hair..... everything about her just jumps out and grabs you

Still can't tell if they are polled or not....even after looking at pictures, so we're just going to wait a while....

What's wrong with "Red Girl" as a name? ~grinz~ Although, I might prefer "Red Dirt Girl".

LOL

My daughter is trying to pick a name....So far she's torn between "Carly", "Ariel", "Lucy Loo" and "Cinnamon" ...

She said she needs to spend more time with them before she can really decide.....which of course means she's sitting out in the barn with the babies at this very moment, lol
