Our first year we didn't have one and it can be a bear digging out that stuff. Especially when you're talking tons.
I was lucky enough to pick one up for 300 from a buddy who had outgrown it he had changed the spout and used it for bedding chopping.
We also use it for making bag silage with corn and we run old sweet corn through it for green feed as well.
