I'm so sorry you have to go through this. She'll never be "just a goat".

You gave her at least a little bit of life where she was loved and cared for. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this.

I am so truly sorry for your loss, Lacey's story is breaking my heart. She knows you loved her & did the right thing! Thank goodness for that precious little doeling she gave you before she had to go.

Her daughter is a treasure with her mother's wattles and spunky personality.

((((((HUGS)))) Can't say much as my eyes are full of tears and I can't see the keyboard. Reminds me of sad days in the past. No they are not just "goats".

Oh I'm so sorry!
Our Rosabell was an extremely rare case that contracted it as an adult. She was so sweet and beautiful. She never thought she was a goat, she only wanted people. A sweet couple wanted her and gave her meds to keep her comfortable (under a vet's care) and when that stopped working they put her down. She was a joy and education for everyone around her.
So was Lacey.
<<<hugs>>>

Thank you. Originally Lacey's daughter was going to go to 6e and I was totally okay with that. Until we actually had to take Lacey up to the vet. Then we came home and snuggled and bottle fed her daughter, who already shows so much of her mother's personality. She may be a different color, but she is her mother's daughter and we just couldn't imagine letting our connection to Lacey go.

Thankfully, 6e is very understanding and so Lacey's sweet little daughter will be staying here.

Glad she'll be there to ease your pain and that little doeling will probably always hold a special place for you now.
