Are you sure she didn't pass it and eat it? Some does do eat the afterbirth.

She finally passed it!

The vet told me that if I saw any hanging out to help her pass it. Sure enough, I checked on her just now as I was going to feed the bottle lamb and the puppies and there was enough out to get hold of. I went slowly and I'm pretty sure I got everything out that was coming out. I milked her again. Her little udder is filling out nicely. First thing in the morning I'm going to shave her backside so that I will end up with milk worth keeping.

Inhale.....exhale. Gonna grab my schnauzer and go to bed now. No more Mondays like this!

Thank you so much for the advice and moral support! Y'all are the best!

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately my problem is at a level that vitamins won't help much. Not that I don't use them! Every little bit helps.

Now that I know my little doe is going to be ok I can go oooh and aaah at everybody's baby pictures

Very happy things have worked out.......bummer about the baby, but at least momma is doing better.

Silly question, but if this was a case of the babies being aborted, will the doe still produce colostrum that could be froze and saved for future babies? Since the OP has others due to kid soon it might not be a bad idea to have colostrum handy just in case..... I know I wish I had some heat treated colostrum stored especially with Sabrina due to kid, and me wanting to raise these kids on CAE prevention...
