I am in southeast Mo. in Aquilla ( no zip code ) so my address is Bloomfield. We have been here about 4 years and we raise fainters. We really like raising them as they are so easy to handle. We have a herd of 17 right now. But we have 6 bucks we need to get rid of LOL.. Last year it was all does, this year all bucks. Go figure

We are in Crane which is south west of Springfield about an hour. We raise all sorts of critters here. Mainly grass fed beef.

I'm in Missouri. Between KC and Columbia, but closer to Columbia. I have one Lamancha doe and one Nigerian Dwarf doe. I am getting another ND doe for my birthday, which has already happened. She is reserved, but she kidded recently and has babies to take care of for a little while longer before she comes to live with me.

Wow, quite the response from a lot of people in MO. Well I live in the St James/Rolla area.
We just got our first four nubians about a week ago, 2 are going to kid early May. The other 2 are minatures, just pets for my kids. That way they dont get to attached to the other goats.
Tosh, I would love to get the roan, but the cost of building a fence, plus the cost of the small pole barn, & the cost of the four we just got has emptied my goat fund. I also need to get a seperate shed just for milking, its to cold to milk out in the barn. LOL, I do find myself going on rollanet about everyday to look at her.

Wow..I missed this thread yesterday....
We're South of Springfield in Ozark Mo.
I've met quite a few members of the board through goat handling.
Lots of nice goat people around here.

It is so nice to hear so many HS's from Missouri, I have been wanting to look for an area to Homestead near a lake for fishing and work. I would like more info on the Lake of the Ozark area. We found 2 hobby farms near Eldon....waiting for my pension to come in. How large is the HS community in that area. I plan on goats, chickens and maybe raising a pig a year. Thanks for any info!!!

i tried to become a Missourite or is that a Missourian? either way, we had our house up for sale for a year with only one showing and decided to take it off the market. I had really fallen in love with the Ozarks but it seems we are meant to stay michiganders at least for a few more years, maybe forever... but maybe you guys can let me in as a wannnabe missourian with a student visa? lol

close to Cape Girardeau

Don't have goats but read here (and do searches) learning all I can. I am interested in Lamanchas, long-term goal is to breed minimanchas. Have to build barn/fence first so just reading now.

We're in Missouri, our goats are not show goats, but good healthy family goats, we focus on health, & good milk production, some of our goats are mix, but no meat type, all dairy from good milkers-we love selling our goats to families who want their own fresh milk. We also have chickens, ducks, angora rabbits, lop ear rabbits, dogs, cats and canaries. We love country living!!!

I forgot to mention we are centrally located between Jefferson City and St Louis
