Today it was so cold that......

... my HOT water pipes froze.
... we have rolling black-outs to limit the strain and drain on the grid.
... I had to go out and buy kerosene heaters.
... I am thawing out the chicken waterers on top of the kerosene heaters before refilling them with HOT water, which I am heating over my stove.
... I had to soak my doe's udder in hot water to thaw it before I could milk her.

Which one of the above is an exaggeration? I live on the very ragged edge between Zone 8b and Zone 9.

I think the last one might be an wee exaggeration
Be careful with the hot water and chickens, hot water or boiled water freezes faster then lukewarm or cold.

-Hmm today it was so cold school was cancel due, not a Snow Day but a Frozen Tundra Day.

-Someone could not get his car started so he has been up my butt all day annoying me.

-I got up at 2 am, yea I snoozed it a few times and trudged out to the barn in -25 degrees to have the goat kids nurse.

-Had to haul water from the house in 5 gallon buckets since the outside spigot was frozen

- Wet my gloves and could not feel my fingers or my nose, my cheeks hurt and I mean the ones on my face

-My eggs exploded!

bRRR you guys! Its cold enough here but nothing like you all.
It's actually warmer outside, our propane heater went kaputz the other day & wont get fixed till tomorrow. I sleep in my jeans, sweatshirt & barn cap.
