We solve most of those problems.....we bring anything that needs heat into the house. LOL Chicks we place in metal troughs with heat lamps in the house, bottle baby goats are in the house, lambs born out in the cold, in the house.

Same here,LOL Of course we try to have kiddings in March or later so that there isn't so much cold weather to worry about. I know that North of us, March is still pretty darn cold though. Each person has to do what is best for their herd.

I am sorry Steff. That had to be horrifying. No doubt you have strong feelings on the subject and rightly so. I have used heat lamps, in fact up to a few weeks ago. They always made me nervous,,think I will rethink them.
