I've been following this thread and I'm really hoping to see pictures of new babies tomorrow, too. I won't have to worry about this kind of stress until late April/early May but I know I'm going to be a basketcase. Hope she has some healthy kids for you tonight!

She keeps going this way, it may be April or May before I see any!! LOL That's why people eat bucks that won't stay in a fence! I never saw the breeding, the sneaky little brat! At least he got the job done so fast he never hit full rut either!! Woohoo!

Thanks, Sonja, for the good vibrations and yes, the weather is supposed to be nasty. We've already got white covering the ground, a mix of snow and sleet. We're not supposed to have this mess! Sn*w is a 4-letter word!

Not at 12, not at 3, not at 6, not even faking it today, staying in the house, demanding breakfast in bed and eating hearty. So, we wait... And I'll probably check more often, just in case getting quiet is her sign...

No, and after looking at the ligament post and checking again, I'm starting to second guess whether I was checking in the right place. I will be so glad when I've done this a time or 2 and can read her better... I know, yeah right!

Well bummer. I waited all day for a text with baby pics! Stripe didn't do any babies last night either...but I'm not as much of a worrier as you are...I took some nightime cold medicine, chased it with some bourbon and went to bed. Checked this morning at 9am and said...."bummer no babies." LOL!!

Uh oh. Hope I didn't share this mess! I'm still trying to cough up a lung or two, but I think I'm getting better!

If I am now feeling in the correct place, there are still ligaments and so back to not knowing when <sigh> But, on the plus side, now I'll have more than behavior to depend on for warning. I think I was feeling too far back on the spine/tail

we should start a waiting club. I'm at about the same place as you right now. still some ligs, but they're definitely going away, and behavior is changing

good, if the snow ever melts you can come check Stripes ligaments for me. Don't try now though. Karen got her car stuck in the driveway yesterday. Today Scott got the van stuck in the driveway. Then we got the tractor stuck in the driveway trying to pull the van out of the driveway. We couldn't find any place to tow Karens car from so I backed it into a snow bank.....in the driveway. She'll have to wait for a thaw to drive it. We all have better tires than you...so don't try to come down our driveway this week!

Cheryl hitch those horses up to rescue your tractor LOL. Although from what you said about Dakota... maybe not...

We were wishing yesterday, for a sleigh and harness for our Belgian mare, Rose.

That is assuming I'm checking the right place now. I _think_ it's the ligaments I feel, they join the spine further up than I thought originally and that they're about the tip of my finger away where I was checking. It's really hard to describe, but I figure either I'll feel them go away and know it's right or she'll have them and I was wrong again...

And we might could borrow the backhoe to pull things out of the pond if you want to try Jo and Dakota...

LOL! Having visions of Sonja over here with Rose trying to figure out how to get my tractor, Jo, Dakota and Carols borrowed backhoe out of my pond! LOL!

Still no babies from Stripe. Can see the little beggars moving around in there though~ very cool watching her stand still and her sides roll and wave! She hates being separated from everyone else and I suspect she still has a ways to go but as long as this snow won't melt I really think she's better off in the turkey pen where it's a bit drier.

LOL Cheryl you'd laugh even more if you knew this - we have no clue if Rose has ever been in harness or had any training on how to pull. Chances are she'd wind up in the pond too! LOL

My Gidget did Finally present me with twins, yesterday. I have been watching her for a month! First possible date would have been Dec 5, and she loved that buck. I was sure she'd be really close. Nope!
I did have her all tucked in, in a stall by herself. Saw the moving bump on her side, reminded me when I was pregnant and my boy's butt would poke out!

LOL! Yep I just love watching those babies move in there! Amazing no matter how many times you've seen or felt it!

Congrats on the twins! So where are the pics of your new babies? Baby pics never get old either. I don't think its possible to have seen enough baby pics of any species!
