Christie that's exactly why I'm up at 4:15 now days. I'm done to the barn as soon as the sky just starts to turn grey. I always shut the kids door when I first get up so I don't wake them up. They sleep right through till about 7 if I let them. So milking before they wake up is pretty handy. I have a baby monitor in their room and the receiver down in the barn. All I have to do is click it on when I get down there and I can hear everything going on in the house.

If the day is nice you might try school work outside. The joy of homeschooling is schooling wherever fits the best.

7am then 7pm. We deviate from the schedule up to 2 hours either way, but the girls always know and get anxious if we are late! Bleeting.... Where is my GRAAAAIIIIN? Hubby milks in the morning and I milk after dinner.

My 15 year old milks around 7:00am and I milk at about 9:00pm, depending on our schedules. We aren't milking much right now as most of the girls are dried out. Everyone will be for the entire summer, including the cow. Ahhh... time off.

My girls from my mentor spoiled me.
Milk when I get up in morning.
Sometime in the afternoon.
Before going to bed.
They were never bursting, so they are quiet girls and never screamed on any schedule, which is good for a bunch of Nubians.
