Mine's going to kid tomorrow afternoon. I know this because we were planning to head over the hill to Sisters for the weekend. I figure the first kid (and there better be more than one in that enormous belly) will hit the ground about the time DH and DSs hit the pass.

First came a large red buckling.
Then came a butt-first red doeling.
Followed by a head with one foot (I think) doeling, who looks a LOT like Edith.
Then came a sweet doeling, mostly black but with my favorite combo of red/white markings.
Trub is SUCH a good mom! She was alternating cleaning equally between all four. Dang! She's gonna get a charlie horse in her tongue!
They were taking their dear sweet time finding the milk, and Trub was awfully full, so I milked her out a bit, filled a couple of bottles, and showed the kids what they were looking for. They learned pretty fast.
My only concern is the doeling who looks like Edith. She is incredibly leggy, and her back legs seem a little slow to respond. For now, I'm just thinking it's because she was probably SMOOOSHED in there, and things will work themselves out. She was able to stand on her own, and walked a bit, just not as well as the others.
Here's a pic of a very tired Many Troubles, a very tired Pony!, and four very lively kids!

wow.. those are good sized quads.. good girl Trub.. (keep an eye on mama, some does will produce more milk with more kids.. you don't want to let her slide into milk fever.. have some CMPK on hand- you can buy the oral at the feedstore, injectable is Rx, but works faster with less burning yucky taste..not saying you will have milk fever issues..just want you to be aware & watching. First time she doesn't attach her feed, or she shivers or even just seems flat & off.. get some CMPK into her)... now.. on to the fun stuff.. Yea.. babies.. (oh the little *Edith* doe.. her legs will straighten out soon.. a couple days of not being jammed/folded up with all her siblings will find those little legs back to normal) Are you leaving all 4 with her? (I would suggest you at the very least supplement them) If I had quads that I was going to try to dam raise. I'd be taking out bottles of milk several times a day and instead of just teaching one or two to suck a bottle. I'd try to feed them all, just so when they get bigger and the two keep getting shoved out... all four will know about bottles, no matter who it is not getting enough from mom each feeding (does that sense.. feel like I rambled LOL sorry 'bout that)..
SO??? weren't they worth the wait??? what day did she end up kidding on? was it 151 like her sister?
again congrats

Heh, at least they're keeping it busy. My last one only had one, so my head (and then my kid, later) got a good going-over as well. Goat spit does not do great things for your hair.

Great picture! My 5 yr old took a look and thought for a minute it was a picture of me.

HOLY MACKERAL!! I can't believe she had 4. They are all so adorable & I bet you were so excited. I get worried about 3 getting enough from momma being dam raised I can't imagine my worry if one of mine had Quads, OMG!!
What was it finally day 153 or 154?
Good thing she gave you 4 little darlings after all the waiting she put all of us through!

Thanks so much!
Almost forgot the CMPK. I will have to get that done before Nick goes to work. She HATES that injection, and getting 60 cc under that taut skin is not a picnic, and it stings.
Am I supposed to be giving the kids Bo-Se at this point?
I've been bottle-feeding the colostrum I milked out last night. All four of them have become quite adept at nursing and the bottle. So I should be giving them the cow milk at this point, too?
So tired. Can't remember what I've done or what I'm supposed to do.
Gonna go inject the doe, then take a nap. Or two.
THANK YOU EVERYONE! You're all honorary godparents to the Quad Squad!
