Yours gets up to relieve herself? I go down and there is a pile of poop pellets right behind Candy. It takes WAY to much effort to get up! LOL

Actually, I think relieving herself is an after-thought. She doesn't like me looking under her tail, and gets up every time I lift it.

Sad to watch her struggle her bulky body up to stand on all four pins, so I'm making use of the opportunity now with the walking I mentioned earlier.

I'm so glad your girl is doing the same things; it really helps me to calm down. A bit.

Hang in there, it won't be too much longer. We are all here for you and have been through it too. Waiting is the hardest part

I was sure when I checked back just now I was going to see a kidding report.

Waiting and watching can be so draining - and since in my first pregnancy in particular I was carrying a lot of extra amniotic fluid and looked like a beached whale I empathize with them so much when they lay there not wanting to move. I've got 8 more days until day 145 for my first doe to kid this year, and if my children ask me one more time "Mom, how long until Mame' has her babies" I think I'm going to scream!

My last two does kidded on day 151. Look at it this way, after they kid you'll have all this energy from all the activity and you'll realize the waiting made it that much more exciting. I don't have any due now until the end of May and already I miss the waiting. Call me crazy.

I got tired of sitting on my... er... keyboard, so I went out to walk her again. Got the bucks into the separate fenced area, and led my reluctant doe around a bit.

Then I got a burst of energy. Her stall looks TERRIBLE from her lying about for nearly a week, so I kicked her out! Amazingly, she moved around and didn't try to lie down outside.

Once I got all the excess straw/grass/excreta out of there, I spread around a comfy cushion of brome (the only thing I have right now, and it's softer than oat straw anyway). THEN... my girl walked around and visited with me. Went to her feeder (I'd been bringing her feed/hay to her), ate, went outside again, and then came in to lie down.

She seems a lot better for all that movement. Me, too.

How is your doe doing Pony? This morning when I checked Candy her ligs are definitely gone - BIG difference - I feel like I could pick her up by using her spine as a handle!

Rainy day so I put her in her own stall area - I do think that it will be today!!!!

Bah! Nothing!

This dairy goat is milking it for all she's worth.

Tallabred, I'm so hoping for you that today's the day!

ME TOO! I took some pictures of Candy but can not find the cord to connect to the computer! I had read that the udder gets full in the front, which Candy's is now, that it shouldn't be long.

It is funny, I can tell you if a mare will foal in the next 6-8 hours but I can not figure out a goat yet.

Rain is good today- I can put Candy in her own stall but all her herd mates will stay in near her.

When the dongle goes missing 'round here, I generally look for the iPod.

It's cloudy here today. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60's, but then the temps plummet back to 35 -- what's with that?

Figures. I pick the one little bitty section of MO that's zoned 4b...

Anymore room on that couch? I just have this one more girl and then I can relax until May, but I swear she thinks she can hold it 'til then.

DARN IT! I was sure hoping yesterday she would kid for ya. My Ober kidded sometime between when I was home for lunch and when I got home from work yesterday. I'm done until May now.

Keeping my fingers crossed TODAY IS THE DAY!

If your printer or computer has a card reader you don't need a cord to get pictures off your camera.

She had a buckling and doeling! FINALLY, I GOT A GIRL!

These two kids are MONSTEROUS.... they are twice the size of my Nubian buckling born on Saturday. I will get pix and post this afternoon.

These two are Nubian/Oberhasli mix..... Think I'll call them Nuberhasli's!

Now Val -- did she have a slightly bucky smelling head?

Candy has no bucky smell to her at all. Last year she had 3 doelings by the same buck so I am hoping for all doelings again.

Who else on the couch has smelled their does head? Gives us something else to do

All I smell when I give Trub's head a sniff is STUBBORN.

She reeks of it.

While we're on the couch, let's have a singalong!

And I'll bring some cookies. Oatmeal/raisin?
