YEAH! My first milking experience was a friend's LaMancha. I LOVED her and her milk (5 qts) was perfect! Good Luck!

I would snatch her up after checking to make sure she is an easy milker, isn't prone to mastitis and such, otherwise look inot a temporary milk share until you can find a decent milker. $300.00 for a milker around my region here in Colorado is average. Good luck! I understand about the need for milk because my great nephew would not have thrived without the raw milk!

If you're just looking for a family milker, the most important thing is a CAE, CL free goat. That La Mancha sounds like a good deal. The other doe doesn't have a good udder, but it's not horrid either and you can get adult goats dehorned if you can find someone who knows how to do it. The important thing would be to have her tested for disease. Hopefully, you'll be able to get the La Mancha. Here in Montana, you can get healthy milkers and kids for $200 or less.

I would find Jonathan Bland and ask him if he has a family milker for sale or know anyone who does. He would steer you in the right direction.
