omg I am heartsick

please no flames. I am sick enough and just can't even stop crying. I got baby so far from lots of hard work and was pretty happy and even proud of myself. Only thing wrong with him was a little floppy fetlock. He went from a full lil cast to a few wraps with vet wrap. Unfortuneatly i was in a hurry and wrapped it..and didnt pad it.
I did double check..it didnt seem overly tight.
Its been dark the last few nights I have been to the barn. If you all recall my light broke 2 weeks ago when baby was born and has not been replaced.anyway..belly felt full..i didnt worry
today i look..leg VERY swollen above bandage site, Toes cold. foot looks awful...etc etc etc.
talk about me a basket case.
vet said give a sub q antibiotics..and watch. If sloughing off foot not just some skin...euthanize. I asked about amputation which he will do . Will castrate at same time for 150.00.
My question..whats chances of baby waking up from anesthesia? Husband and i are both unemployed..raising 4 grand kids. I will take last weeks unemployment check if the odds are good. If not he will have to be put down and I am so done with all the bs animal husbandry stuff. stupid stupid me. I cannot do animals and raise all these human kids. I am a drowning woman. And i am so heartbroken

Lots of Hugs, I know what your going through is sooooo hard on you. We all know you tried so hard & did alot more than he would have gotten some other places. It must be what was intended for him but it still doesn't make it easy on you or the family. Mothing worse than when we love & get attached to our critters & then something like this happens. Such a Bummer!
My heart goes out to you Lamoncha Lover!
