Thanks everyone for your well wishes! I do love this guy, he's a Lamancha Buck by the way.

I think one thing I took away was to trust my instincts, when I shaved last night it really did look like something I shouldn't mess with and boy am I glad I waited for the vet!

He's a Lucky Boy. So glad it sounds like he'll be fine, thank goodness! It looks like the vet did a good job & it sounds like he may be a good guy to keep around maybe.

He is doing great. We moved all three bucks tonight once it started cooling off a little (it was 105 today, I hate the heat!). He is very happy with his new home. He is still limping and laying down a lot but also up and eating and drinking. He is still letting us mess with him and flush his injury. We are still keeping a close eye on him though!

I really did like my new vet and I'm going to stick with him for sure. He just got his license 13 months ago and is all gung ho, he even said he'd treat my cats and dogs in the off season. He said he'd basically come out anytime to do anything. I asked if he did AI for cattle (we are looking for a Jersey) and he said he got his AI certificate when he was 15, he grew up on a dairy farm. He also had his own herd of Alpine's growing up he showed in 4H. So I think he is going to work out really well, sorry my poor guy got a giant piece of glass stuck in his side but really happy that the other two vets wouldn't come and I had to track down the new one .

I am out by Junction City (outside of Eugene), he practices in Creswell. Let me know if you want his name, I really do like him.
