Possible poisoning with the frothing? Has the vet prescribed charcoal or MFO to rebalance the rumen?

its not a heavy froth, just enough to leave a wet spot on a towel where she lays, more like a light bubbly drool.
The vet said to continue with the probotics, and gave her strait thiamine, banamine and some antibotics just in case it was listorosis (sp?) plus shes getting a discharge in her eye so we are not taking much chances.
The thiamine seems to work for a little while, it says to doese her every 8 hourse but it takes every 4 to keep her up and going, she stood for about 45 min and slowly ate some hay then flopped back over.

And not frothy bloat?

I would be concerned about the mention that you might have fed her pig food. Pig food often contains things you'd never want to feed to an herbivore or small ruminant.

Probiotics aren't going to hurt, but they really aren't going to help either. They simply don't have the right cultures to help goat rumens much. Expensive lesson I learned too. The cud transplant would be leaps and bounds better.

How is she doing now?

ok, I had posted a responce, dont know what happend to it.
We have been trying to get the other goats to share their cud without much luck but have been trying to steal it.
Shes doing ok as long as I give her thiamine every 5-6 hours, still wont drink water, its been at least since friday since shes had any but have been doing sub q and feeding her fresh grass as she shows a great preference over it to the hay. Im going to try and video her so that yall can see what she does and maybe the new folks can learn somethign like this since its not the a typical polio case.
when are goat kids too big to tube? I was thinking about giving her water like that.

I think you can tube any sized goat if you can get the tube in.

she finally drank a good bit of water but her other symtoms are about the same, however I have noticed that her back left leg (facing her) seems to be going in a club footed direction, give that she had very good conformation and its sudenly going in if anyone knows why or has an idea lmk. She doesnt move around allot but its her hock to hoof area doing this so not too many muscles to get contracted from lack of movement.

Still cant get a wad of cud from the goats, only have two tame enough to steal from and all ive managed to do is get the fire bit out of me.

Some people use a spoon to steal a cud.

I wonder if you couldn't stretch and massage her legs to keep them limber.

Could she be developing White Muscle Disease? That usually starts with weakness in the hind end. A bo-se shot usually clears that right up.

Great thought stars mom but Im very adamit about my goats having selinium and preach the need for it in our county since we practicly have none in our soils.
The other possiblities we are looking at was listorosis, rabies, or deer worm but so far today shes making some progress and we believe she just has brain damage from the polio so shes on mega doeses of vit E, hind site now I would say to keep it with the thiamine in the medicine box just because it helps.
Shes moving around, not well but i can only imagine that shes quite sore from all the shots, drinking, eating and looking around a little she doesnt have full range of her neck movement just yet but Ill take all the improvment shell give.

I use the metal end of my drenching syringe to steal a cud. I push down the middle of the mouth to the back and then hook it twards the cheek and back teeth and pull out. You don't get bit this way and usually can get some cud. I hope she pulls through for you.
