Great news.

What I tell my 4Hers. If they call me for help on a goat, they had better be able to tell me them temp, so always get that first. That says so much, and it is easier to help if you know that.

Are you still giving her calcium? She will need a little extra help for a few days.

We got the calcium drench and a nutri drench. I hadn't done it yet because the person forgot the ketosis strips and she was doing well. Instead I have been feeding her clover to boost it as well as alfalfa. I gave her a bucket of clover and she ate it. She hasn't produced much milk lately. However perky and has a very big interest in food. I think it may take awhile for her to get her milk totally back. It may be a good thing though for now since that won't be any calcium taken away. I have been milking what she does have 3 times a day. Last year she just seemed really prone to mastitis and milking three times a day really helped her. I wiped her udder and teats and sprayed them with that teat stuff. So not sure what her problem was there. We did treatments for mastitis and it was not until I was milking 3 times a day that it went away. I know you all would recommend me doing it less. However mastitis would not be good either. If you have ideas mastitis wise I am very open to ideas!

Also curious what makes momma and babies insist on sleeping outside their shelter on a rainy night? I keep putting them back in they keep coming out. No we don't have a door on the shelter. It's just something they walk in and out of. It's like raining off and on. I haven't caught them out yet when it was raining to bad. But it was softly raining. I don't get it. She is perky and fine. So I don't think it has anything to do with her being sick.
