Daphne is doing great today, we opened up the stall to let her friend out and to "doctor" her this afternoon and she took off too. We let her wander around in the snow drifts and nibble at the little new grass that can be found where the snow has melted and then we brought her in and gave her her meds and some grain. She is doing much better and now has decided she likes Chaffhaye. Thank goodness. I have to say she is so terribly uncomfy with all the babies that she can't lay down all the way, it is more like a sit position with her front legs bent so she is up on her knees. I will have to download the picture of her doing it, she reminds me of a little couch potato.

Poor baby! Happy for you (both!) that she is feeling better.

My beautiful Bella seemed to do the exact same thing about two hours before she gave birth on Monday late afternoon. Ate like a goat in at 7 am, and at noon, but by 2pm she was laying down, very unconfortable... I perked her up with some treats.. and by 4:30pm She had the baby Now I having gone thru labor before as a human mother... I just lefyther alone, but did keep a close eye on her. I checked on her every 1 to 2 hours, just knowing the baby would be here anytime. Bella is so small and her udders got so big... she could bairly walk. Good luck & best wishes!!!

Kreddish,
I wish she was ready to kid, because it would help all her misery she has beenn in the last couple of days. She has (according to the vet) two weeks to a month left. Ugh I hate waiting!
