After a PM discussion with Vicki, we've figured out we've had young bucks every time but the ONE breeding that we got half Boer babies out of. He was a herd sire at a friend's Boer farm.

Like Yarrow said, the two young bucks in Missouri did GO ON to sire kids, but that was later. Plus, it's possible that two of the yearling does I had Luke with are pregnant. I don't have them in my herd now, so I don't know.

Thank you to everyone who help figure out this situation!

So...... rookie owners, young bucks, older does - - not a good combination.

Anybody close to the Victoria / El Campo Texas area with an older dairy buck we can use?

We do have a CAE free herd.
