I will keep her in my prayers.

I read our local hospital's news magazine recently and it mentioned wheat gluten intolerance in relation to rheumatoid arthritis. Have you and/or your other afflicted family members tried eliminating wheat and wheat gluten from your diets?

I have a different auto immune disease: I have MS. My sister has RA.

There ARE home remedies that might help: I have found a few.

There are many talked about, but most of them did not help me. A few did.

I tried them out on myself one after another. I suspect that if you can find something that helps you, that the same thing willhelp your daughter.

For myself, cumin and turmeric help: both have the reputaion of being anti-inflammatory. I put them in plastic capsules that I buy on-line: I USED to get them from the pharmacey, but they no longer sell them!

And, you probably know already that any illness will make an auto immune disease worse. My sister got a good deal better after she had a tooth abcess seen to!

Hope they are able to track down exactly what is causing your poor baby flare ups, at least with a diagnosis you can track down the best help for her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello 4H mom - I registered specifically so that I could reply to your post.
My son started having those same symptoms at age 13 and the doctors thought it was RA as well, but he ended up seeing a HUGE improvement on a gluten free diet. That was 3 years ago, and he is still gluten free, and very rarely suffers from joint pain any more.
It's worth a try!
