Buy a wildlife cam (really cheap on Ebay now) and then have them posted where the road is near your house...bingo. Got your culprit...

Well that oil rig might be an idea too.. Any one of those workers could see your babies.. Either they themselves or a friend of theirs might own a white explorer too

I think Ted had a good idea. Also heard about something you place around your fence and it shoots off on a timer....sounds like gunshots. Supposed to keep coyotes away. I think it would work on people too. They would never know if you were freaking nuts or not :-)

Makes me absolutely sick to think people do these things. I would also be devastated if someone snatched one of my babies.

Someone showed me a website called Felonspy . If you punch in any address, including your own, it will show you every person in that area that has a felony record. May be worth a shot. And it will tell you what the felony was too.

Thaiblue12 - BUMPING THIS UP FROM LAST YEAR -

I hope that you dont just scare them off this year, but actually CATCH THEM IN THE ACT and that they go to jail.

Scaring them off just doesnt seem like enough.

At any rate, I'll be praying you dont lose any more kids.

Are you prepared?

I went to that site, and it's showing 2 of my "neighborhood felons" as living in places that there are no houses.

I wouldnt put any faith in their credibility

Been busy with work, the farm, hail damage, crazy neighbors and my two new alpacas girls that I got for free so I have not had much net time.

Yes this year I am prepared! I plan on making it welcoming for them by penning my LGDs so as not to scare them off. I am rotating them now in the dog pen so they will not think it is odd if they are penned that night. These are non-chicken eating LGDs that I raised and are doing well.
My son and I will be in the barn all night armed. I hope our wireless internet has service out there or we will be bored I did check to make sure that no light can be seen from the screen to anyone on the ditch road.
There is no drilling going on right now so no one around to see anything, not like they ever were asked.
I will post on Oct 26th with hopefully good news. No incidents would be good but I really would rather catch them and find out what happened to my poor Becca and Latte.
