I don't have any frozen but I do have the powdered kind from TSC. Hopefully that will work.

Andi - I didn't have good luck with the powdered colostrum - maybe you'll be able to milk some out of her if you need it. That's what we've done recently. I noticed Pickles udder, too - she'll probably make one just before she kids! These ladies sure like to keep their humans guessing! At least next year you'll know for sure when she's due.
I'm glad Jacob is so loved! I'm sure he's changed so much -I probably wouldn't recognize him now. Wait till he gets really stinky - your DH won't love him so much then! Jacob's daddy is really stinky now - can't tell what color his front legs are. Next week he's going in with the rest of the herd - 5 doelings (7 month olds) and their moms. He's going to be in 7th heaven for the next month or so!!!
Good luck with Pickles and her kid/kids! Keep us posted.

Thanks Rosie. There are a few goat farms around here, maybe I can buy some if I need it. Hopefully she will have some of her own as it will be better. Hpoefully I will be able to milk her. Her teats are so small, only about an inch or so long. I have small hands and thin fingers but sheesh this is pushing it.

Jacob has been peeing all over everything as well. DH thinks its funny. I never knew how much a baby male goat could pee until I had one in the house.

UPDATE:
Pickles has an amber looking discharge that was not there yesterday. I can also wrap my fingers around her tail above her pin bones. I guess this means the ligs are gone?. Shes doing a lot of stretching and rubbing her mouth on her side. The bad thing about this, I have to work tonight 7-7. I told DH to keep a very close eye on her and to call me and I will come home. I really wish she would wait till Friday and I will home . I have to work Sat(tonight)-Wed morning and go to Little Rock on Thurs( Moms Chemo ). What is the typical time from discharge to birth? She still has no udder development.

Here we go again! I don't think she will wait until Friday...I think it's going to be in the next 12 hours if it's a long string of amber goo.

As of an hour agoit was just a discharge. It wasn't long and stringy but it definatly has a red/brown tint to it. I will go back out in a couple minutes and check on her before I get ready to go to work. If its getting to be long and stringy I will call in sick. Otherwise I will go in and just have DH keep watching her.

OK I checked on her a couple minutes ago and the discharge is not any heavier than before. Its not dripping or stringing, its just kind of sitting there. I am going to go to work and come home at 1, earlier if its needed. I am trying to keep my attendance points down as it affects my raises. So far I have 2 and am allowed 8.

Ohh - the excitement of it all! Sometimes that discharge can sit there for a while! Good luck, Andi!

I hope everything is ok.
The kids should be here by now, I would think, if her ligs were gone yesterday.

If you hear me scream and see the white coats running after me you will know she has done it again. Shes not doing anything but driving be nutz. The small amount of discharge appears and disappears and shes doing a lot of stretching. I can see at least 1 kid moving around. I am not going to update this post again until there is a kid on the ground. Every time I post she stops doing what ever is going on. Wish me luck as I won't be updating until that time.

Oh brother, I hope this means that she is out in the barn with happy, healthy babies jumping all over her. Why do goats do this to us?

Still pulling my hair out and waiting. The next time she is bred I will mark the calendar. This is ridiculous, all the stress of waiting and not knowing. Shes still fat, sassy, and very affectionate. Her belly seems to be betting more round and low so maybe it will be soon. We have one more month of this waiting game. Any kids she has after that will be Jacobs and I will know when they are due.
