My goats all get a dairy cattle feed similiar to calf manna (dairy ration). It's very popular with goat breeders in my area. I mix alfalfa pellets in with it.

I bought the rabbit pellets once, because I couldn't find the regular kind locally. Hated it! It even smelled wrong. Good alf pellets have a rich, deep, "fresh cut grass" smell. A lot of rabbit ones smell stale or "blah", and look pale in comparison. And I am concerned about what else is in them.

I do feed alf to my bucks because they are in a smaller area, and often don't have grass to forage on, just their hay. I figure it gives them a little extra in the nutrients department, as it is probably a good deal richer than their normal timothy/alfalfa hay.

Something I've found my goats would kill for: broken-up horse krunch chunks. If you hand a few of those out in the pen, you are guaranteed to be swarmed, complete with goat heads in the pockets and hoof marks on your shoulders. They're absolutely addictive to goats for some reason. The dogs also love them.

BOSS is available at feed stores in 50 pound bags.

About half the folks on the board don't like dairy goat chow/mixed feed because it often has molasses (which isn't good for the goat's digestion) and other floor sweepings.

Plain oats or barley would be better than goat chow.
Just checked the label on the goat food and it has no molasses I buy Blue Seal.
