I use regular baby bottles-for 1 I nuke it 30 seconds, put lid on and shake, nuke it another 30 seconds. Works great. After they get really good at taking the bottle I skip the second heating and just do it 30 seconds to break the chill off of cold milk.
We do the sit on counter thing sometimes and feed it room temp.
I don't subscribe to the whole microwave horror. Most people pasteurize milk (kill bacteria) for kid feeding-so what if microwaving kills some bacteria. I just would be careful not to overheat.
