Nigerian goats for sale

I am new to your forum, but was recommended by Jillis. I have some Nigerians for sale due to my poor health. The most important thing to me is that they have a loving, forever home. I am willing to give a nice discount if someone buys more than one so they can stay together. They are or soon to be registered and all are proven does and there is one mature buck. Jillis has purchased a doe and a buck from me and she has seen my herd, so she can vouch for the quality of my animals. They are up to date on their shots, had their BO-SE, and were all given Copasure recently. Several does are pregnant and a couple of them could be for sale. My bucks and does have very nice lines and I am happy to tell you all about them, but it would be a very long thread-so please feel free to call me at(802)673-6738, email me at crazygoatgal@hotmail.com, or post here. Thanks

Where do you live?

Sbrock 01/22/08 08:08 PM

Phone number puts her in Vermont.

crazygoatgal 01/23/08 06:00 PM

Hi! Sorry for not including my whereabouts. I live in Troy, Vermont. That is at the very northeast area of the state. If you know Vermont at all, it is near the Jay Peak ski resort and the Canadian border. If you don't know Vermont-"you can't get there from here" is what they all tell you around here.

KimM 01/23/08 06:06 PM

That's a bit too far for me...darn it! :(

Patty0315 01/24/08 06:56 AM

Kim I am going to Lynns place soon. I am not sure what else she wants to sell but if coming to Watertown Ny area would make it doable you could always pick up here .

Patty

HI LYNN

So sorry to hear about health problems and needing to downsize. I can understand how sad it must be to part with your animals.
Could you reel off some of the parents/lines here? Thanks!

Patty0315 01/24/08 08:19 AM

I will call her and get some names. Same goes to you if you want anything I will transport for you.

Patty

I Pm'd her but I don't think she has been back online to check.

KimM 01/24/08 01:12 PM

Thanks Patty but right now, even NY is too far. I can't leave my dad that long yet, he's still recovering from a heart valve replacement surgery. I really appreciate the offer though!

Patty0315 01/24/08 02:11 PM

Ok hope this makes sense. I am getting 2 does I think. I am going to vacation some at my place for her until she is feeling better.

She has a buck fosale

MT SignalFarm Ree-oh grande

3 does and babies coming spring.

Lines include

Rose of Shawn or is it sharon farm ? in VT

Stone WAll

Old Moutain Farm
Gaymore

now my spellings may be wrong ~ would not surprise me at all !

She is going to try to get online today but had workmen over .

Jillis may be able to shed some more light if she comes on.

Patty

update from the crazy one

Patty is right about the names, just not on the spellings. But here is the rest of the info: Morning Glory- sire is Blackberry Patch White Boots; dam is Mt. Signal Farm Edelweiss or Old Mountain Farm Edelweiss( I can't remember and I am not at home), She is a blue-eyed, black and white caped Schwartzal who is very beautiful and is show quality. Her udder is not the largest, but is very, very nice and she is a dream to work with and is very sweet! She has given triplets for the last 2 years in a row and always produces at least one doe, if not more. She was bred Jan. 12th to a young guy whose grand-sire is Stonewall's Turner Ashby(who is very line bred on Tom Thumb) and his grand-dam is Rosasharn's Lotta Lilly. Both are deceased now. He is a gorgeous solid white with blue eyes He is unproven, but already looks like he will be a prime example of a ND buck. I would like the right to reserve one of her doe kids from this breeding, if that could be worked out. The next doe is Daffodil. Her father is Mt. Signal Farm Ree-Oh(see Patty's note) and her dam is Edelweiss. She is a black/white Schwartzal(not caped) and is dairy in appearance. I do not show, but I think she could compete with the rest of them. She has had 2 freshenings and produced twins this past spring. She is an amazing mom and has a nice udder to me( I am not an expert). Again, also very friendly. She was also bred to Aran on Jan.16. I may want one of hers, but won't know until I see them. Junie is a black/tan doe whose sire is Ree-Oh and dam is Jacobs Well Farm Blackberry. Blackberry is an outstandingly beautiful solid black doe who had perfect skin, hair, and height. Besides being my favorite doe, she throws beautiful kids. Junie had only freshened once(she's only 2), but I suspect she will pass on her mothers positives. She had a buck and doe last May, both were broken Chamoisee and soooo cute. I really would like to see at least Daffy and Junie go together if at all possible. Maybe all 3?? I would give a price break just because my head says they will be happier. They are probably mentally healthier than I am. I forgot to mention that Blackberry's udder is VERY easy to milk out and she produces alot of milk and I have milked her for to up to 15 months. I am not sure about selling the other does I have, but I have a Rosasharn's Little Bear daughter who is a chocolate with blue eyes and is very, very dairy and is a consistant triplet producer. I am on the fence about selling her and I would have to get $500.00 for her, because I technically do not own her myself and that was the original asking price(even I have to pay that). She is bred to an unproven guy named "Rosasharn's UP Red Firebrand Pepper". We call him "Opie" because he is a tiny little - . His sire is Rosasharns Uproar and his dam is Rosasharns Cinnamon. His grand-dam and great grand-dam are Rosasharns Uni and Unagi. They are the AGS winners this year( I think). You can tell I don't show. Her babies will be for sale though and she is due in May. Her name is Yohanna. I also have a doe named Rosasharn's TA Mega'N(Arans dam) that I have bred to Opie and those babies will be for sale. Her kids last year are exquisite!!! She is also a solid red, like Opie. Blackberry is bred to Ree-Oh and she is due in April. Thanks to whoever had the patience to read all the way to this point, you are either really interested or really bored. God bless!

moonspinner 01/24/08 04:41 PM

Sounds like some nice animals.

crazygoatgal 01/24/08 04:51 PM

They really are, but not just their pedigree. I had always planned on keeping them forever, and it is tearing me apart to have to sell even one. They mean so much to me and I want someone who will love them as much as I do, not just use them as dairy animals or baby machines. Is that too neurotic? Thanks for checking them out.

Jillis 01/24/08 05:35 PM

Lynn's goats are beautiful! The buck I bought from her has thrown the most beautiful babies---mostly doelings---they all have gorgeous conformation and very good personalities. None of the them are milking yet, but I looked up some of his background, I believe Stonewall's Raising Arizona is in his lines, or is it the doe I bought? Lots of champions, grand champions and reserve grand champions in all the lines, also lots of milking champions. The doe I bought from her is a beautiful lavendar chamoisee with blue eyes. Very, very, very friendly personalities.

Her herd is closed and all tested CAE and CL clean as of the time she bought them.

Her health has been horrible, too many challanges to mention, many hospitilizations this winter. I hope that is not TMI for me to share, Lynn.

Lynn loves her goats like they are her children and has thought and prayed long and hard about parting with some of them.

Blessings, Jill!

Lynn has to go to a local recreation center to go online. She lost her vehicle so has to depend on friends for rides. But you can communicate with me by pm and I can call her directly if you wish.

Jill~

thanx Jillis

Jillis is correct about everything she said. I am sick, I have Lupus and it is becoming a real pain in the neck this winter. I appreciate all the positive information she shared about my goats. I am quite proud of them and know anybody who had them would love them for the lovely animals they are. Thanks again, Jillis. Jubilee!!!!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

crazygoatgal 01/26/08 06:58 AM

thanks

Your prayers are very much appreciated and desired. My dear friend, Jillis, is a prayer warrior.

This is the buck I bought from Lynn. His sire his her buck that is for sale, Rio Grande. He is the black and tan in front. The chamoisee Alpine is actually larger than him but the perspective of the picture is weird.

Here is one of Canyon's babies by a Nupine I owned. She is exquisite!

Not the best pictures but might give you a bit of an idea.

chicamarun 01/26/08 08:50 PM

Oh I wish!!! My husband agreed that the kids can buy a buck.....and we are using them in a loving "pet-a-farm-animal" setting during our small farm tours and my kids want to have babies - LOL.

Jillis 01/28/08 06:41 AM

Bump.

wrong info

I made a mistake about my chocolate doe named Yohanna. She is bred to my white buck with the blue eyes, not the little one named Opie. He is still an outstanding guy. Just wanted to correct the error. I am going to have quite an assortment of babies between May and June, so keep me in mind. Thanks and God bless.

Hello dear, how is it going? Have you found homes for many yet??

Jillis 02/10/08 05:13 PM

Lynn is in the hospital again, with pnuemonia. She is very ill but in fair spirits. She really needs to find a home for her goats.
Blessings, Jill!

smwon 02/10/08 11:07 PM

Can they be air shipped? I am looking for two does.

Jillis 02/11/08 04:48 AM

I'll ask her. There are babies on the way in very late Spring, early Summer.
I guess the shipping charges would be extra? And for shipping crates. Where are you located?
Jill~

moonspinner 02/11/08 07:46 AM

I feel so badly for Lynn's plight. Please pass along all our good wishes to get over this latest setback.

smwon 02/11/08 08:37 AM

I'm in Nothern California... that is a long ways to fly them from Vermont.
