We're in Bastrop, 20 miles east of Austin. We have 28 Boer and Boer cross, 11 for sure pregnant and a few we're guessing that are. We have a boer cross buck and his replacement, a nice full blood born last spring. Once you have one kind of livestock it kinda softens you up for other types so we also have about 40 laying hens, raise 50 meat birds each year, 10 guineas, a peacock and peahen, two cats and a dog. We're kicking around the idea of a dairy goat, we have a new beehive on order and raise goards and other stuff.

We are in N E Texas north of Gilmer. We have just gotten goats. They are boar/alpine/nubian crosses with one almost yearling doe that is 3/4 Nubian. Our oldest doe just dropped 2 gorgeous Nubian cross doelings that are beautiful. The plan to buy some cheap 'practice' goats to get our feet under us isn't really working out. We were hoping for bucklings for the freezer, but these little girls are just tooooooo pretty!

Hi Diane and everyone -
We are in North Central Texas, about halfway between Abilene and Fort Worth in Comanche County which is about 40 miles south of I-20.
We have Two mini-nubian doelings out of triplets kidded. One of them kidded not quite two weeks ago. (one doeling, one buckling)
We also have a full blood registrable Nigerian dwarf doeling due to kid around the 20th of February (if she lasts that long! She's looking mighty WIIIIIDE...) and a purebred Alpine doe due the last of Feb.
AND one very good natured but still smelly nigerian dwarf buck (who is actually 1/8 La Mancha)
And our LGD girl Gale.

Actually, that's in Harper, TX. Were you there yesterday pr Saturday? I might've seen you!
Not very many goats went through, just a few Boers and Boer crosses at rock bottom prices.
We could have gotten a mini donkey for $20!
We live 30 miles west of Fredericksburg, and 30 miles north of Kerrville.
We only have Nubians and a few Boers for 4-H now. I sure do miss my LaManchas!! I had a terrible time selling their offspring though because everyone around here couldn't figure out why I kept cutting their ears off... I could sell 4 times as many Nubians as I have each year, but I cant afford to feed TOO many!

I'm about 20 minutes west of Diane in Elgin. My husband and I have 1 gelding and we foster horses and donkeys for an equine rescue when we have room. We currently have 4 Boers, 1 wether and three does, and two Boer/dairy cross does because I had to have them. We also have 10 chickens, 2 rabbits, 1 cat that came with our property and lets us live there, and three little dogs.

Critter Lover, I'm south of you and have room for a donkey if you need help with the animal rescue.

You are right - auction in Harper, friend with cattle ranch in Mason. I get those two mixed up all of the time.
