NOTHING? Well, it IS only halftime. She has two quarters and overtime left to go

I think if you have a buck you might need to name him Brett Favre

Go Packers! Go Gretta! Woohoo!

Well, Gretta is all tucked away in her pen now. Hubby is all excited about the Packers in the lead at half time. I'm waiting and anticipating another night of setting the alarm clock every 2 hours......

Labor

When mine are in early labor they will refuse any grain. They will stay off to their self or in a corner staring off like in another world.Sometimes they will press their head against the barn wall, breathing will increase,They will rub their belly on the wire in the barn or on the wall somtimes. They will shift weight on their back feet back and forth during a contraction.Lay down get up lay down again.
Then the pawing starts.I start looking for the discharge and get things ready.
I breed all my does in the evening hours and they have all kidded in the evening.Only one kidded in the AM and that one was a buckling that got out and in the girls pen.

oberhaslikid, I have had the "press their head against the barn wall, breathing will increase,They will rub their belly on the wire in the barn or on the wall somtimes" and the discharge. She is still eating grain but just a little bite here and there...she wants the alfalfa more than anything. It's hard to tell if she staying away from others because she is an only goat and she always seems to be staring off in la la land...Probably just thinking up more plans to mess with me!

Those of us who have given birth understand the "press the head against the wall" behavior!

NOPE! But she is still messing with me...last night I found her sleeping under her bed. IF there was a dirty spot in her pen that would be the spot. She followed me to the house from the barn...running

Go Pack!! Yes, I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I don't watch football, but love it when the "home team" wins. You just gotta be patient with those mama goaties.

yes, it is a very important game (I'm told) but not nearly as important as yesterdays game...Gretta is the same today as yesterday except she is spending more time standing next to the horse trailer...she never did that before. She is doing a lot of new and strange things just to mess with me and keep me on my toes and over analyze. I'm back in a "give up" mood

Well, I heard the Packers won. I see that Gretta didn't kid during the game.
Any News Yet?
