We just finished the kidding barn (where the pics were taken) right now I've just got a 16' long cattle panel wired to the wall. Once kidding is over and I have a few minutes. I'll make wooden frames and attach 4x4 panel (the cattle panel openings are 6x4 - at least I'm pretty sure that's how big they are) The smaller openings, really cut down on waste. On my young goats I use horse panel (2x4 openings) My girls just do better with the long feeders, less shoving and no one can *guard* a too large of an area for herself
Yes, the girls LOVE their Stinky, Morrie man... He's the sire of most of this year's kids. I've used him for several years now. This is his last big breeding season..... I love him (he will always live here on our farm. It's his home and he's a big part of our family. He gives the sweetest little buck kisses) He's gentle and easy to handle (even at the height of rut) he is just as gentle with his *ladies* and they all love him, from the aged doe to the little ff's. He passes on nice udders/good amounts of milk to his daughters. His gentle, intellegent nature passes on to his sons.
