Oh how sweet! Congrats. It was a great learning experience, huh? I am so glad things turned out well and that you had someone to call for support. They are both great looking.

I also wanted to say, be careful with that heat lamp. If it is only about 30 degrees, they should be fine without it by now. They may not be able to move the lamp, but if they manage to move the paper into it, you could be in trouble. Not meaning to gripe but I know someone who lost a dog kennel about a month before Christmas - killed almost all of her dogs, including the Christmas litters of English Bulldogs. The fire started with the heat lamp they had on the new litter of puppies.

For the ears, I trace the ear on cardborad and cut them out. You will need 2 per ear. Tape it on for a week and they should be flat.

Blossomgap, I don't feel like you are nagging one bit. It's not a heat lamp bulb, it's a regular light bulb, just enough to take the chill out of the air, secured a couple different ways (better than in the pic), and I'm checking that as much as the babies. It was supposed to get pretty cold here last night, and I got nervous. Little girl seems to like it, and they look too small for the red "Monster Truck" sweatshirts DH bought for them. I'd have to roll up the sleeves!

Truly, thank God for Trish. Gabby came from Trish, whom I know dearly misses her. These two are the first livestock born on the farm, and the first I've midwifed. I could not have done this without Trish talking me through it. Gabby and I both thank you!

Sweetgoats, you're in Colorado? I may come visit you anyhow!! I was stationed at Ft. Carson for 4 years and have family in Aurora. I love it out your way!

Hey Tonya...I am sooo very excited. The little girl will be Luna. I was thinking something with spots or dots but the spanish word for that is punto (Ewwww) than I got to thinking about different freckles, spots etc and got thinking moonbeams, therefore Luna. She is too too cute. Everybody in the office gave out a cheer when it was all over, applause and all for you and the babes. Took pics in today, they loved them.

Note: Sweetgoats, over my dead, cold body! lol Isn't she just a cutie. I love the little guys expressions too.

Luna it is! I'll tell Amazing G. She'd been calling her Valentine because her hip spot is heart shaped. I've just been calling her Girlie.

So when Luna's finished eating, that will make her a Full Moon!
