Now why waste all that expensive feed growing ears when you can use it to grow out a nice udder!?
big ears = small udder
no ears = big udder
it's just a matter of simple animal science

oh my God. I ABSOLUTELY adore the kid looking up at you, through the fence.....You most certainly have my vote on that one.
How in the heck do you all get your goats to stand still long enough for a photo!!!!!!!!

Alex, doesn't it look like she is grinning?
She was the second goat I ever bought. She is my herd queen and my second best milker. I retained her daughter as well. She comes from good show stock. A very good goat.
Blessings, Jill! \o/

Yall are taunting me with your pics of cute baby Nubians with those long "useless" ears!...Don't make me bring out the "big guns"...my LaManchas have freakishly large udders (and tiny petite, feminine, stylish, trendy, current, classy ears).

I can't believe you remember that goat's name, LOL! She has been bred and if she is anything like her mother, will be an excellant milker. She is soooo fat to begin with, though! A real little piggy!
This is her mother's udder. She was nursing three piggy triplets and still always seemed to be full. This was taken when the triplets were about 2 to 3 weeks old.
