Dianne, your website has made husbands all over the country burst into spontaneous tears

I saw your photos in a recent Dwarf Digest issue. Showed it to DH, who loved the pics but then looked ever so slightly worried, LOL!

Awesome! That was something I was wondering about. Those pictures are great. I think I might be the one out there with the hammer too since hubby has been working well past dark lately.

Yep...forwarded it to my hubby too! Asked him this morning "did you see that website I sent you?"
he said "um....yeah...those were cool." few seconds of silence..."Maybe I could make something like that I guess" LOL! Beth, he looked so worried I felt sorry for him.
Did I tell you he had to tear a part the goat hut he built and re-build it? The goats were not as happy with it as he was....they like it now

Hee! At least he gets points for offering...kinda

My DH is not the handiest guy on earth. But like I tell him, no time like the present to start practicing. Besides, my darlin' goatie boys deserve it, right?

I showed hubby your website the last time it came around-He said now way!
Mine get patio and/or cinder blocks outside, 2-4 inches high they are, water runs off quickly. I just scrape the snow off & they enjoy basking in the sun that way, or they use the large rocks in the pasture. Maybe I'll show hubby again....

ha! I love to make men squirm! My husband just rolls his eyes at me most of the time when he comes home and says...so what did you build today?...he then proceeds to tell me that he feels like he married a construction worker! he will just have to get over it...I actually LOVE to make things and see it all as a challenge! Kinda like arts and crafts on a slightly BIGGER scale! It was funny once when a lady I met started getting motivated to build things for her new goats and she came back out to my place with her husband and I met him for the first time and he says to me..."who are you? and what have you done with my wife?! all she keeps talking about is how I have to make our goats bridges and playgrounds now!!".... I laughed....and they do have a small bridge now to climb on and over! : )

I have little tikes toys, two play houses with slides and the jungle jim. I spend the winter finding them at garage sales and flea markets cheap. Even 8 months old and bred they still lay up in them and run up and down the slides.
You have got to post pictures of that!

You guys are making me feel mean. Mine don't have toys in their pens. They have one cable spool outside, plus a few pallets (actually steps up into my "milking" trailer). Of course, they also have the run of our 10 acres plus the neighbour's 10 acres - when the weather is a bit nicer.

My goats are jealous.....I am too. And Minnelson was right....lots of wives putting a hammer in their husbands' hands. I asked mine if he could get out to the barn this weekend and build beds.

There is an army Depot close to here and every now and then they get rid of TONS of old ammunition boxes that are wood and about maybe 3 ft. long and half as wide. We picked them up for about $1.00 each and have them lined up along one interior edge of the barn and some stacked outside too. They are great! We also have spools just for playing.
