On the bottom page you can get an idea of how tiny Millie was even at 3 months old. My 3 year old daughter had no problem picking her up.

They are extremely popular so they are great to breed and show. I can't wait to start milking my does this spring. I believe they have a very high butterfat content in their milk.

New pix of babies - just 12 hours old when taken by the breeder:

Nigerian Dwarf goats are typically around 20" at the withers so imagine how tiny these babies are if that doe is around 20" tall!

Oh, Lord! The "Aaaaawwwww" factor is off the scale! Thanks for all the pix, everyone. Can't believe how CUTE these guys are.

I recently became the default owner of a few lovely NDxAlpine does. I was milking one for a few weeks before drying her off. While not a whole lot of milk, it was awesome. I believe it was the ND influence. It is/was very rich.

I tried to get a picture of Millie who is now 5 months old with the chickens to give a better idea of size. She blends in quite nicely with the Barred Rock hens who are only af few months older than she is. Her mom is on the small delicate side too, so I don't expect she will be as big as my others when full grown either. If memory serves she weighed right around the 1lb mark when she was born.
