Alfalfa pellets should have a label that says dehydrated alfalfa. Nothing else, and should be 17% protein or they usually contain oat chaffe.

You have to remember that feed stores sell products. They rarely have livestock backgrounds themselves, and certainly don't have nutritional backgrounds in lesser stocks like goats. They aren't going to steer you to products they don't carry obviously Vicki
