Last year a had a FF doe that hade a beautiful huge udder, nice and round and these tiny lil teats pokin out. You could not in any way grab any udder with her teat to get a better hold, like can be done on most.
I milked her with my thumb bent IN, and then my fingers against that. Her teats were not only small in length, but also small around, so I was not able to grasp at all, hence the need to milk against my thumb.
This was easier for me than just using the pad of my thumb. My mom was with us for a time and she did use the pad of her thumb.
This doe milked near a gallon a day, real sweet doe.
