very brave to say that
you find bad udders in every breed, and you can find excellent udders in nubians.

Your statement that alot of Nubians have some really bad udders is absolutly true.......in Canada.

Alot like England, perhaps now that the border is open you can bring in some of our excellent USA stock? Vicki

Thanks, but no thanks! She is on the other side of the country! But maybe some day!

I do have a buck who *has* genes that are to fix udders. He has a double breeding (Sire is Sire's mother) So hopfully he does help them!

Im not saying all Nubian udders are bad. IT just seems GRADE Nubians have bad udders. But I must say my other grade has a GREAT udder! She needs a little rear attch. but the other Breeders love her! Even ones who hate nubians!

Well, then how come so many seem to want the rumps more level than that shows as ideal? Is it like in AQHA, the judges don't seem to read the books? Like in western pleasure, the horses are supposed to move with their heads level, but in the show the lowest head and slowest most agonizing gait usually wins.

this is how they put them up. if you put some pressure on the does back she would lower down and her rump appear more straight than if she would stay alone, or be on the move.

Few judges of any quality at all judge does rumps standing in the ring all posed up, it's why you make lap after lap in our 90 degree heat with equal humidity! Vicki
